Hmm...I don't think so little girl!!!
She is so completely different than my son when he was that age. With my son I would say, "No, we can't touch that because we could get hurt," and that would be the end of it. I would tell him, "hitting/biting/kicking/etc...hurts people and we don't want to hurt anyone do we?" and that would be the end of it. Time outs worked with my son when he did have those moments of not listening or misbehaving. My daughter on the other hand is the complete opposite. She walked up to my son (who is 14 yrs old) whacked in the face with a wooden block, gave him a bloody nose...and then stated, "I go time out now." Smiling all the way to her time out spot. Time outs do not seem to be working for her.
